No.2 Exhibition Hall for Evolution of Chinese Characters: The No.2 Exhibition Hall for Evolution of Chinese Characters, which is located in the East Hall on the second floor, consists of two sections, including “History of Inscriptions on Ancient Bronze Objects” and “Writings on Objects”, showing the development of inscriptions on ancient bronze objects, bamboo and wooden slip archives and silk books, inscriptions on pottery, inscriptions on jade ware, currency  characters and characters on seals from Shang Dynasty to the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.
